Oliver Thornton's journey has always been driven by a passion for creative expression, from an early fascination with interiors to a career in the West End, followed by a move to New York to retrain in design.
As creative director at Kim Partridge Interiors, Oliver has been able to hone his vision, undertaking high-end hospitality and residential projects.
Oliver Thornton Home is the culmination of this journey — a love letter to the beauty and sophistication of British heritage. Oliver's designs are more than just pieces; they are narratives that transport us to the Country House, and a world of elegance and comfort where everyone is invited to indulge in a life well lived.
"I have always seen the home as a vessel for designing the life I want to live. Weaving the strands of a picture together, like a movie maker expanding fantasy into reality. It’s where I go for inspiration and escape as much as for security and comfort.
This sense of make believe, of telling stories which transport us to a place of elegance and ease, is at the core of my design ethos and why I’ve always held such wonder for British heritage. The Country House, wearing its most ostentatious of faces, serves as a fantastical icon of luxury and idealized beauty. A marker for aspirational living, inviting us to dream of all that a home and a life can be.
