COLLECTION 1 - AN EXPLORATION OF THE BLOOMSBURY SET AND EDWARDIAN BOHEMIA
"This collection explores the Bloomsbury set; a group of bohemian trailblazers who met to discuss art, literature and politics in Bloomsbury, London after the turn of the twentieth century. The set expanded over time with founding member's Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant moving to a farmhouse in East Sussex. At the same time, a crossroads in Edwardian fashion would ultimately lead to the demise of the corset, a garment that had shaped the figures and collective social perception of women for hundreds of years."
