EXAMPLE OF A RECENT CLIENT PRESENTATION

Client brief:  The Oliver Thornton Design Studio has been asked to update the living areas of a New York, turn-of-the-century, three bedroom apartment.  At present, the client has a mix of furniture and design styles and is looking for a strong, singular vision to create a sense of cohesion between entry hall, living room and dining room.  Design preferences include natural, traditional and heritage elements.

Response:  Eastern Clubroom

The designer acknowledges original architectural features within the apartment consistent with turn-of-the-century architecture and the beaux arts style.  Paying homage to the character of these features, the designer would like to create a clubroom aesthetic, inspired by Eastern color palettes and fabrics, the faded beauty of Indian palaces and the work of photographer Karen Knorr.
